Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Diyya. Great job Diyya!

Phonics: Today, the students reviewed the “C/c” and “K/k” sound, actions and song. Students brainstormed some words they learned this week and practiced with Flashcards. Students sat in a circle with a partner and practiced sounding out, reading, and using words in sentences. Great job SKs!  






Lunch/ Recess 1

Math: Today, the students were introduced to ordinal numbers. Students watched a video, “Ordinal Numbers Song”. Students then practiced their ordinal numbers on the board with several examples. Finally, students went to their desks where they completed a worksheet collaboratively with their group mates.





 Unit of Inquiry: Today, students were introduced to their Down on the Farm Summative Assessments.

Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Ronan. Great job Ronan!



Phonics: Today, the students were introduced to the “K/k” sounds, actions and songs. Students watched a video, “Geraldine learns the “K/k” sounds”. Then students brainstormed a list of “K/k” words on the board.

Journal: Today, students reviewed some of the “C/c” and “K/k” words we have learned over the past two days. Students were asked to list 3 “C/c” words in their journals.

Lunch/ Recess 1

Math: Today, students reviewed skip counting by 5s. Students watched a video, “Count by 5's | Exercise and Count By 5 | Count to 100 | Counting Songs | Jack Hartmann”. Students participated by singing and dancing along with Jack Hartmann. Students then practiced what they saw and heard by counting by 5s and filling in some blank spaces on the board. Finally, students went to their desks where they worked collaboratively with their group mates to complete a math sheet.









Unit of Inquiry: Today, students reviewed the parts of a plant by creating their down plant and labelling each part.
